    Abstract: In a described example, a circuit includes a synchronization control circuit having a sync input and a sync control output, in which the sync input is coupled to a sync terminal configured to receive an external clock signal. An internal clock generator circuit has a control input and an output. The control input is coupled to the sync control output. An output circuit has first and second signal inputs, a mode control input and a clock output. The first signal input is coupled to the sync input, and the second signal input of the output circuit is coupled to the output of the internal clock generator circuit. The mode control input is coupled to the sync control output, and the clock output adapted to be coupled to a controller.

The system includes multiple charger ports, the respective charger ports having a charging power line coupled to a respective one of the power output terminals, and a communications line coupled to the communications input terminal. The controller is configured to control the state of the control output terminal to set a voltage of the DC power output according to a selected highest common compatible voltage of one or more sink devices coupled to one or more respective ones of the charger ports.

    Abstract: In described examples, a source circuit can have an input and an output. The input can be adapted to be coupled to an input voltage source configured to provide an input voltage. The source circuit can be configured to output power at an output based on a power delivery mode. The source circuit can include a timer and power delivery (PD) controller. The PD controller can be configured to control the power delivery mode responsive to the input voltage and the timer. The PD controller can be further configured to set a respective power delivery mode and initiate the timer for a timer duration based on the input voltage relative to an input voltage threshold. The PD controller can be further configured to continue operating in the respective power delivery mode for the timer duration.
