Abstract: Assemblies and methods for disinfecting surfaces using ultraviolet (UV) light are disclosed. In one aspect, a UV light-emitting assembly comprises a plurality of UV light emitters, and first and second UV light emitter supports seating the UV light emitters. A first heat sink is affixed to the first UV light emitter support and a second heat sink is affixed to the second UV light emitter support. A thermally conductive and electrically insulating plate contacts the first heat sink and the second heat sink.

Abstract: System and/or method generally relate to extending a lifespan of an excimer lamp. The system includes a ultra-violet (UV) light having a pair of dielectrics configured to separate electrodes. One of the electrodes includes a metal mesh. The system includes a power supply electrically coupled to the UV light and configured to deliver electrical power to the UV light. The system includes a temperature sensor operably coupled to the UV light. The temperature sensor is configured to generate a temperature signal indicative of a temperature of the UV light. The system includes at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to determine a temperature of the UV light based on the temperature signal, and adjust the electrical power delivered to the UV light based on the temperature signal.

Abstract: A system and method include an ultraviolet (UV) lamp including one or more UV light emitters coupled to electrodes. The UV light emitters are configured to emit UV light within an environment. A power source is coupled to the UV lamp. The power source is configured to supply power to the UV lamp. A pressure sensor is configured to detect an ambient air pressure within the environment. A temperature sensor is configured to detect an ambient air temperature within the environment. A control unit is configured to analyze air pressure data regarding the ambient air pressure and air temperature data regarding the ambient air temperature in relation to a breakdown voltage for the UV lamp. The control unit is further configured to modify at least one aspect of the UV lamp in response to the ambient air pressure and the ambient air temperature reaching a breakdown threshold that is less than the breakdown voltage.

The module includes at least one cooling feature selected from (1) a sidewall ventilation opening in the at least one sidewall and (2) a heat sink feature extending from the rear wall.

At least one electrical conductor extends through the rear wall and the separator into the support, and an electrically insulating bushing extends between the conductor and surfaces of the rear wall.
