Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for the benefit of surgical procedures in such austere locations. As described herein, the technology is applicable anywhere in the world where access to medical care is limited or not available but necessary, especially more than one hour away by transport. These applications include space, military field medicine, recreational wilderness medicine, sites of disasters (e.g., earthquakes, tsunamis, building collapses, etc.), healthcare in rural or underdeveloped locations, and hospitals or clinics with resource shortages or limitations.
