摘要:
A collapsible air isolation apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a collapsible frame including a base and a set of rigid panel elements at least partially enclosing a volume of space, where the set of rigid panel elements is foldably hinged to at least one of the base or another of the rigid panel elements, and where at least one panel of the set of rigid panel elements comprises an open space for mounting a motor for moving air. The apparatus may include the motor for moving air configured to create a negative pressure within the volume of space of the collapsible frame.

A personal protective equipment (PPE) apparatus for patient donning during medical treatment is disclosed. The apparatus includes a portable frame and cover configured to surround the patient and mitigate the spread of airborne pathogens generated by the patient to the healthcare provider and surrounding environment.
摘要:
Disclosed herein is a portable aerosol-protective apparatus and method for reducing the exposure of healthcare workers to contaminants and aerosols that may contain respiratory and other pathogens. The apparatus generally comprises a shield suitable for forming a partial enclosure around the head-space end of a hospital or surgery bed, through which a medical procedure can be performed on a patient. The method generally comprises performing the medical procedure on the patient through the shield of the disclosed apparatus.
摘要:
The present invention provides a negative-pressure shield device with a simple device structure, which is relatively inexpensive to manufacture, and is extremely effective in preventing infection within an ambulance. The negative-pressure shield device comprises a shield main body that is installed in a patient compartment of an ambulance, includes a ceiling part and a peripheral wall part, and covers at least the head of a patient on a stretcher mounted in the patient compartment, and a connection part which communicates with the interior of the shield main body and connects to a ventilation opening provided in the patient compartment.

Systems are provided for a patient isolation unit for use with a medical imaging system includes an enclosure comprised of a pathogen impermeable material compatible with one or more imaging systems. The enclosure includes a base, a first end wall coupled to a first end of the base, a second end wall coupled to a second end of the base, and a cover coupled to a first side of the base, second side of the base, the first end wall and the second end wall for substantially enclosing a patient therein. In another exemplary embodiment, a patient isolation unit for use with a medical imaging system includes a head enclosure comprised of a pathogen impermeable material and a body enclosure coupled to the head enclosure and comprised of a pathogen impermeable material.

A patient support includes a patient support surface, a DVT pump mounted in the patient support, and a port mounted at the patient support in selective fluid communication with the DVT pump. Optionally, the patient support further includes a control system to detect when a DVT device is coupled or in close proximity to the port and/or the type of DVT device. Further, the control system may be configured to control the pump based on the type of DVT device coupled to the port.

An isolation and treatment enclosure system for a patient includes a bed module that supports the patient, a spool disposed at a first end of the bed module, and a flexible, continuous enclosure disposed on the spool. The flexible, continuous enclosure can be extended from the spool along a length of the bed module so as to create a tube in which the patient and the bed module are enclosed.

Completely self-contained and self-supported mobile isolation and containment unit (ICU) facilities are disclosed that can be transported on roads and highways to a location in need of an isolation facility and rapidly deployed to provide isolation and treatment. In some embodiments, exemplary ICUs can safely provide isolation and treatment to a level that meets or exceeds “bricks and mortar” hospital isolation and containment facilities and any applicable regulations. In some examples, the mobile ICUs include sophisticated heating ventilation and air Conditioning (HVAC) systems that can separately maintain areas within the facility at different levels of pressure to ensure contaminated air does not escape the facility. And the mobile ICUs may also incorporate a multiple-vestibule with airlock design for ensuring safe entry and exit from the facility. The mobile ICUs disclosed herein may also include automated decontamination systems for disinfecting and/or sterilizing spaces within the facility.
