摘要： Presented is an automatic cutoff machine for cutting to length strip material as it is discharged in a continuous length from an automatic machine. The cutoff mechanism includes sensing means adjustable to sense a predetermined length of strip and operable to activate a cutoff saw to cut the strip to the predetermined length. Because the strip being cut is moving, the cutoff mechanism must also move with the strip and at the same rate to preclude binding between the cutoff saw and the strip being cut.
