Abstract: The present invention is a solid material for recovering carbon dioxide, the solid material including from 50% by weight to 99% by weight of sodium ferrite and from 1% by weight to 50% by weight of an organic binder or an inorganic binder, having an average particle diameter of 1 mm to 10 mm, and having a specific surface area of 1 m2/g to 50 m2/g, wherein an axial ratio of an average major axis diameter to an average minor axis diameter of primary particles of the sodium ferrite is from 1 to 2.
