Abstract: A resin block that can be favorably used for obtaining dental prosthetics through the milling work, containing very little voids, having excellent property for being cut, exhibiting excellent appearance and mechanical strength, and without permitting the formation of defective products. The resin block contains a thermoplastic resin having a fluidizing temperature in a range of 310 to 500° C. and inorganic particles in an amount of 30 to 150 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of said thermoplastic resin. The inorganic particles are at least one kind of inorganic oxide particles selected from the group consisting of silica particles, silica composite particles of silica and other metal oxides, titania particles, and titania composite particles of titania and other metal oxides. The resin block has a thick portion of a thickness of at least not less than 5 mm, and does not contain any void whose length is not less than 1.0 mm.

Abstract: A dental curable composition which comprises a radically polymerizable monomer component (A), a polymerizing catalyst (B) and an inorganic granular material (C), characterized in that: the radically polymerizable monomer component (A) contains a bifunctional monomer (A-1) represented by the following formula (α), RP—SP1—RP (α) where, RP is a radically polymerizable group represented by CH2═C(R)—COO— or CH2═C(R)—CONH—, wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and SP1 is a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 15 carbon atoms, and the content of the bifunctional monomer (A-1) in the radically polymerizable monomer component (A) is 5 to 40% by mass under a condition that the content of a diluting monomer (A-2) represented by the following formula (β), RP—SP2—RP (β) where, RP is as defined in the above formula (α), and SP2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group different from. SP1, an oxygen-containing aliphatic hydrocarbon group having not less than 2 oxygen atoms, or an oxygen-containing aromatic hydrocarbon group having not less than 3 oxygen atoms, is zero or not more than 10% by mass.

Abstract: A mill blank for dental cutting including a section to be cut that has a shape of a columnar body whose bottom surface and upper surface are in a substantially identical shape and that is formed of a hybrid resin, the section to be cut having a gradation structure in which color appearance changes in stages in a height direction, where the height direction is a direction from the bottom surface of the columnar body being a base end toward the upper surface which is a tip. In the gradation structure, a region having one color appearance forms each of “color units” into which the columnar body is divided in the height direction along a plane horizontal to the bottom surface and that each have a predetermined thickness, and five to nine “color units” different in the color appearance are continuously arranged in the height direction.

Abstract: Provided is a joining structure for processing which joins reliably and without misalignment a dental CAD/CAM block to be machined to a block holder for holding same onto a processing device. An engagement protrusion is formed on a block-side joint surface of a block to be processed, and an engagement recess is formed on a holder-side joint surface of a block holder. An adhesive retaining space is formed therebetween. An adhesive is applied thereto, and the engagement protrusion and the engagement recess are engaged and joined. The engagement protrusion formed on the block to be processed is rectangular or substantially rectangular. If the engagement protrusion extends from the front surface towards the back surface of the block to be processed, the protrusion can removed from a mold (shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B) by moving the protrusion in the direction of the arrow (shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B).
