Abstract: An identification device includes: an observation object shape frame display configured to display, on a display screen, an observation object shape image indicating a shape of an anti-counterfeit medium observed at an observation angle, and display image data that is an image of an imaging object of an image-capturing device, the anti-counterfeit medium being designed such that an observed pattern of light varies as the observation angle varies; a shape similarity calculator configured to calculate a shape similarity between the observation object shape image and an outer shape of the anti-counterfeit medium; and an imaging determinator configured to perform imaging determination as to whether the observation angle and an observation position of the image-capturing device are correct based on whether the shape similarity is equal to or greater than a shape similarity threshold.

Abstract: A device for determining authenticity including processing circuitry which generates a reference image data of a counterfeit prevention medium at an observation angle for comparison with captured image data obtained based on a pattern of light observed from the counterfeit prevention medium at the observation angle between an imaging direction of the captured image data and a reference line of a surface of the counterfeit prevention medium, calculates similarity between the captured image data and the reference image data, and determines authenticity of the counterfeit prevention medium based on whether the similarity exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: An identification device of the present invention determines authenticity of an article with an anti-counterfeiting medium varying in a pattern of observed light depending on changes in light characteristics of radiated light, using the anti-counterfeiting medium. The identification device includes a similarity calculation unit that determines the degrees of similarity between a plurality of captured image data of the anti-counterfeiting medium obtained with differences in the light characteristics of the radiated light and reference image data corresponding to the light characteristics; and an authenticity determination unit that determines whether the degrees of similarity determined for the individual light characteristics exceed thresholds set corresponding to the individual light characteristics to make an authenticity determination on whether the anti-counterfeiting medium is genuine.

Abstract: An identification device according to the present invention that performs authenticity determination of an article provided with an anti-counterfeiting medium whose observed light pattern changes depending on an observation angle includes a similarity calculating unit that calculates a degree of similarity between captured image data of the anti-counterfeiting medium and reference image data; an authenticity determination unit that performs authenticity determination as to whether the anti-counterfeiting medium is genuine or not on the basis of whether the degree of similarity exceeds a predetermined threshold or not; and a match-percentage notification unit that notifies a match-percentage indicative of a degree of match between an imaging viewpoint for imaging the anti-counterfeiting medium and a reference imaging viewpoint which is predefined as the imaging viewpoint for the captured image data used for authenticity determination.

Abstract: An identification device includes, an imaging condition determinator configured to determine an imaging condition as to whether or not an optical change in the anti-counterfeit medium is imageable from an observation angle that is an angle of captured image data in an imaging direction with respect to a reference line on an observation object surface of the anti-counterfeit medium being designed such that an observed pattern of light varies as the observation angle varies, a similarity calculator configured to obtain similarity between the captured image data and correct image data generated from the optical change corresponding to the observation angle when it is determined that the optical change is imageable under the imaging condition; and an authenticity determinator configured to perform authenticity determination as to whether or not the anti-counterfeit medium is correct based on whether or not the similarity exceeds a preset similarity threshold.

Abstract: This color calibration device is a color calibration device, calibrating colors in a captured image of a first imaging device between different imaging devices using a hologram emitting diffracted light at different frequencies corresponding to an observation angle, the color calibration device includes: a diffracted light spectral distribution calculation unit that obtains respective diffracted light spectral distribution of the diffracted light from the hologram; a camera sensitivity function estimation unit that estimates spectral sensitivity of the imaging device from the respective diffracted light spectral distribution of the diffracted light and each captured image of the diffracted light; and a color calibration unit that calibrates difference in color of the first imaging device relative to a second imaging device different from the first imaging device using the estimated spectral sensitivity.

Abstract: An identification method for performing authenticity determination on an identification medium having code information and having a variable light pattern portion whose pattern of observed light varies upon a change in an observation angle and for performing reading of the code information includes generating, for captured image data of the variable light pattern portion of the identification medium, reference image data corresponding to the observation angle as the angle of an imaging direction of the captured image data with respect to a reference line of an observation target surface of the identification medium by a reference image generation unit, obtaining a degree of similarity between the captured image data and the reference image data, and performing, based on whether the degree of similarity exceeds a preset threshold, authenticity determination about whether the identification medium is authentic and reading the code information.
