Abstract: It is provided that a braid which has high dimensional stability even in long-term high temperature storage and which fluctuates little in physical properties with the lapse of time. And it is provided that fishing lines, nets, ropes, and protective covers, and bulletproof materials using the same. A braid comprising a polyethylene fiber or polyethylene tape which has an intrinsic viscosity [η] of not less than 5.0 dL/g and not more than 30 dL/g and contains not less than 90% of ethylene as a repeating unit thereof, wherein a thermal shrinkage percentage is not less than 0.45% and not more than 8% under an environment of 80° C. for 240 hours.
