Abstract: A hybrid electric vehicle is provided that includes a drive device, a driving battery, a mechatronic unit, and an air conditioner. The drive device includes an electric motor and a power transmission device to which the electric motor is connected in a power transmittable manner. The mechatronic unit is an integrated unit combining the drive device and a power control unit configured to control electric power transferred between the battery and the electric motor. The air conditioner includes an electric compressor and an exterior heat exchanger. The exterior heat exchanger is of a water-cooled type, and is located vertically above the mechatronic unit when mounted in the hybrid electric vehicle.
