    Abstract: The present disclosure provides means for producing a MOF having an RHO-type topology with a high gas adsorption property in high yields. One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a metal organic framework containing metal ions as zinc cations and ligands as 2-ethylimidazole (2-EtIm) or monocarboxylic acid anions. The metal organic framework has an RHO-type topology in which the 2-EtIm anions are partially substituted with the monocarboxylic acid anions. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for producing the metal organic framework having the above-described features.

    Abstract: A heat storage apparatus includes: a first tank; a second tank that is provided above the first tank; an on-off valve; and a heat storage solution that is accommodated in the first tank and the second tank. The heat storage solution has a characteristic of absorbing heat and separating into a first liquid and a second liquid having a lower density than the first liquid at a lower critical solution temperature or higher, the first liquid and the second liquid have a characteristic of releasing heat and mixing with each other at a temperature lower than the lower critical solution temperature, and when the heat storage solution separates into the first liquid and the second liquid, the first liquid is accommodated in the first tank and the second liquid is accommodated in the second tank.

    Abstract: A heat storage material has a high hydration capacity, which does not readily deliquesce and can be effectively used. A method produces such a heat storage material, and a chemical heat pump and heat storage method use such a heat storage material. The heat storage material is a composite metal halide including a monovalent metal, a divalent metal, and a halogen. The method for producing the heat storage material includes preparing a mixture in which a monovalent metal halide and a divalent metal halide hydrate are mixed, and generating the composite metal halide by subjecting the mixture to a heat treatment. The chemical heat pump includes a water storage unit storing water as a working medium, a heat storage material retention unit retaining the heat storage material, and a water vapor flow path allowing water to flow vapor between the water storage unit and the heat storage material retention unit.
