Knees of an occupant of large build whose inertia load at the time of collision is great are assuredly protected by collective energy absorbing action of the upper cylinders (121, 121) and the lower cylinders (122, 122) at the time of collision. In a case of an occupant of small build whose inertia load at the time of collision is small, loads from the upper cylinders (121, 121) and the lower cylinders (122, 122) are exerted on the occupant in appropriate proportions according to physical size of the occupant to fulfill impact absorption at the time of collision.

    摘要: A large number of small reflection portions are continuously formed over a back face of a base member opposite the light impinging side, in an arbitrary arrangement. The small reflection portions are each formed to have a boundary surface for reflection, interference, and diffraction of incident light impinging onto the base member, to thereby produce random changes in the brightness of reflection light over the entirety of the decoration panel. The small reflection portions have concave boundary surfaces having three-dimensional shape determined though imparting a 1/f fluctuation to a triangular-roof-like basic shape. When at least one of the direction of the incident light in relation to the base member, a viewing point in relation to the base member, and the position of the base member is changed, the small reflection portions generate an irregularly changing light-dark pattern in the brightness of reflection right from the small reflection portions.

    摘要: By forming a resin sheet or a metal sheet, an angular-box-shaped bag main body having gore portions on surrounding side faces to ensure its height is formed. A folded line to be folded, in a manner to form a valley line, toward an inside of the box-shaped bag main body is formed in an intermediate portion of each of the gore portions in a height direction. A triangular overlaid and folded portion is formed in an end of each of the gore portions on each of the surrounding side faces with each corner portion of the angular-box-shaped bag main body being sandwiched between one surrounding side face and another surrounding side face adjacent to the one surrounding side face in which the gore portion is folded in an overlaid manner in the overlaid and folded portion at a same time when another gore portion on another surrounding side face is folded. The angular box-shaped bag main body is folded so as to be in a flat state by allowing each of the gore portions to be folded in a manner to form a valley line along the folded line. By blocking a bottom face being opposite to a ceiling plate with a bottom plate, the box-shaped bag main body has a hermetically sealed structure. By configuring above, an inflator bag for a vehicle occupant restraining apparatus is obtained. Thus, the inflator bag is able to be housed in a compact manner and to be developed so as to be in a stable state with a sufficient developing stroke being ensured and able to be processed easily.

    摘要: An automotive seat safety mechanism includes a seat back and a webbing arranged between the seat back and a vehicle roof. A retractor urges the webbing in a winding direction while simultaneously permitting the webbing to be drawn out in an unwinding direction when in a normal state and prevents the webbing from being drawn out when deceleration of the vehicle becomes greater than a predetermined value. A bypassing mechanism is arranged above the seat back. A pretensioner is included in the retractor. The retractor is arranged above and rearward from the seat back. The webbing extends between an upper position of the seat back and the retractor bypassing the bypassing mechanism. The webbing is disengaged from the bypassing mechanism when forward deceleration becomes greater than a predetermined value. The pretensioner is activated to quickly draw in the webbing in response to the forward deceleration.
