Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for controlling a linear compressor. The linear compressor control apparatus has a collision detection unit, a control unit, and a compressor driving unit. The collision detection unit detects a collision of a piston with a valve due to the operations of the linear compressor. The control unit determines whether the collision of the piston occurs on the basis of an output signal from the collision detection unit, and resets maximum amplitude data of the piston of the linear compressor when the collision occurs. The compressor driving unit controls the maximum amplitude of the piston of the linear compressor under the control of the control unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus for driving a brushless motor and method of controlling the motor, which actively changes an output time of a phase commutation signal depending on variation of a load and stably operating the motor in an overloaded state and improving an operational efficiency of a system. The apparatus for driving a brushless motor includes an inverter, a driver, a counter-electromotive voltage detector and a controller. The inverter switches driving voltages applied to multi-phase stator coils. The driver drives the inverter. The counter-electromotive voltage detector detects a counter-electromotive voltage induced from an unexcited stator coil. The controller calculates a time required to detect a counter-electromotive voltage through the counter-electromotive voltage detector after the driving voltage is turned off, determines a phase commutation point of time based on the determined elapsed time, and controls the driver to perform phase commutation at the determined phase commutation time.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor controlling apparatus includes a voltage detection unit, a current detection unit, a control unit and a compressor drive unit. The voltage detection unit detects a voltage supplied to the linear compressor, while the current detection unit detects a current supplied to the linear compressor. The control unit determines whether a collision of a piston of the compressor with a valve of the compressor occurs using output signals of the voltage and current detection units, and controls the amplitude of the piston if the collision of the piston with the valve occurs. The compressor drive unit controls the amplitude of the piston under the control of the control unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method of controlling a linear compressor. The apparatus includes a current detection unit to detect current, a control unit to determine whether a collision between a piston and a valve occurs, and controlling a stroke of the linear compressor, and a compressor drive unit to perform adjustment of the stroke of the linear compressor. The method includes presetting a maximum stroke and a collision point according to a load, selectively increasing and reducing a stroke of the linear compressor according to a variation in the load, and controlling the stroke.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the cooling and heating dual-purpose air conditioner, and more particularly to the heat pump type cooling and heating dual-purpose air conditioner wherein the stand-by control is performed in order to prevent the viscosity increases caused by the lubricating oil freeze in the compressor occurring at the initial cooling operation stage and therefore the smooth drive of a compressor in an air conditioner is performed by the preventing of the lubricating oil freeze.
