Abstract: A method of manufacturing a coil component includes providing an intermediate body, heating the intermediate body at a first temperature ranging from 100 to 350° C., and after the heating at the first temperature, heating the intermediate body at a higher second temperature ranging from 600 to 900° C. The providing of the intermediate body including (i) preparing a base material having a flat plate shape or a wire shape, (ii) bending the base material to form a conductor portion, (iii) preparing a metal magnetic paste containing a resin and a plurality of metal magnetic particles mainly composed of iron, and (iv) applying a molding pressure to the metal magnetic paste covering the base material to form the intermediate body including a substrate body containing the plurality of metal magnetic particles and the conductor portion. The magnetic base body including an oxide coating film containing iron oxide on a surface of each of the metal magnetic particles.

Abstract: A coil component includes: a magnetic body part and a cover part covering one side of a magnetic layer part; and a coil part embedded in the magnetic body part. The magnetic body part is comprised of the following two types of layers: (A) an oblate soft magnetic grain-containing layer, and (B) a spherical grain-containing layer, wherein layer (A) extends over the entire range of the magnetic body part except for a portion including the coil part in a direction perpendicular to an axis direction of the coil part, layer (B) adjoins layer (A) in the axis direction. The cover part is constituted by multiple layers including one or more of layer(s) (A) and one or more of layer(s) (B) and extending over the entire range of the magnetic body part in the direction perpendicular to the axis direction.

Abstract: An inductor array includes a magnetic base body having first and second surfaces opposed to each other and a third surface connecting between the first and second surfaces, and also includes first and second end internal conductors having the same shape. The first end internal conductor includes first-end first conductor portions and fewer first-end second conductor portions, alternating with and being connected to each other. The second end internal conductor includes second-end first conductor portions and fewer second-end second conductor portions, alternating with and being connected to each other. The first-end first conductor portions are positioned away from the first surface by a first end distance in a reference axis direction and face the first surface. The second-end second conductor portions are positioned away from the second surface by a second end distance less than the first end distance in the reference axis direction and face the second surface.

Abstract: A coil component includes an insulating base body and a coil conductor arranged in the base body and having a winding portion extending around a coil axis. The insulating base body includes a magnetic body portion made of a magnetic material and a magnetic gap portion made of a low-permeability material having a lower relative permeability than the magnetic material. The magnetic gap portion is shaped like a ring when seen in a direction along the coil axis and arranged within the winding portion. The magnetic body portion includes a first region positioned within the winding portion, a second region positioned opposite the first region with respect to the magnetic gap portion in the direction along the coil axis, and a third region arranged within a through hole defined by an inner peripheral surface of the magnetic gap portion, where the third region connects together the first and second regions.

Abstract: One object is to provide a laminated inductor having a reduced thickness without reduction in the magnetic characteristic and the insulation quality. The laminated inductor includes a first magnetic layer, an internal conductor, second magnetic layers, third magnetic layers, and a pair of external electrodes. The first magnetic layer includes three or more magnetic alloy particles arranged in the thickness direction and an oxide film binding the magnetic alloy particles together and containing Cr. The three or more magnetic alloy particles have an average particle diameter of 4 μm or smaller. The internal conductor includes a plurality of conductive patterned portions electrically connected to each other via the first magnetic layer. The second magnetic layers are composed of magnetic alloy particles and disposed around the conductive patterned portions. The third magnetic layers are composed of magnetic alloy particles and disposed so as to be opposed to each other in thickness direction.
