摘要： A disc clamp mechanism for a disc apparatus is provided. In the disc clamp mechanism, a disc is clamped or unclamped by moving a clamper holding chassis near to or remote from a turntable, the clamper holding chassis holding a clamper with a clamper holder, and a contact portion of the clamper holder with the clamper is deformed relative to the clamper holding chassis along a motion direction of the clamper holding chassis. A large space can be formed between the clamper and a turntable in a disc unclamp state to prevent the disc from becoming in contact with the clamper or turntable and being damaged while the disc is transported. A stroke of the clamper holding chassis necessary for reserving the space is made small to make a disc apparatus compact.

摘要： An apparatus having a rotary member rotatable around a shaft mounted on a base and to which a flexible printed circuit board is attached. The flexible printed circuit board is attached to the rotary member at an end thereof, and is fixed via the base at the other end thereof. The flexible printed circuit board has a bent portion between both ends thereof. The bent portion of the flexible printed circuit board is pushed by a pushing member which is mounted on the base so that the direction of an elastic force exerted by the bending of the flexible printed circuit board against the rotary member coincides approximately to the center axis of the shaft irrespective of the position of the rotary member. As a result of that a moment around the shaft, caused by the elastic force, to which moment the rotary member is subjected, is approximately zero.

摘要： A sealing apparatus for sealing a magnetic disk drive. The sealing apparatus includes a base member on which heat generating parts are mounted, a sealing member provided on and adhering to a circumferential edge of the base member, and a lid member secured to the base member via the sealing member for covering an internal space enclosed with the base member and the lid member. The lid member has a downwardly extending peripheral portion which comes in contact with the sealing member, and is arranged on the sealing member such that the downwardly extending peripheral portion is placed substantially on a centerline of the sealing member lying in the middle of a width of the circumferential edge of the base member. The sealing apparatus of the present invention can prevent the sealing member from deviating or separating from an original position on the base member when the base member is subject to thermal expansion due to heat generated from the heat generating parts mounted on the base member, and it is possible to stably maintain a sealing condition of the magnetic disk drive over a long period of time of practical use.
