    摘要: A color cathode-ray tube comprises an envelope having rectangular flat face and rear plates opposing each other. A phosphor screen is formed on an inner surface of the face plate. Mask support members are mounted on an inner surface of the rear plate. A shadow mask is arranged in the envelope and supported by the mask support members to face the phosphor screen at a predetermined distance. A plurality of positioning posts are fixed on the inner surface of the rear plate and extend toward the face plate. A plurality of positioning pins extend from the inner surface of the face plate and engage the positioning posts so as to position the face plate at a predetermined position with respect to the rear plate. The shadow mask has setting openings through which the positioning posts extend so as to position the shadow mask at a predetermined position with respect to the rear plate.

Each support member has first and second support portions. The first support portion is set up on the rear plate and has a proximal end face intimately in contact with the inner surface of the rear plate and a bearing surface substantially parallel to the rear plate. The second support portion is provided between the bearing surface of the first support portion and the faceplate, and has a distal end abutting against a predetermined position on the inner surface of the faceplate and a proximal end portion intimately in contact with the bearing surface of the first support portion.

The shadow mask is supported on the mask support members while being applied with a tensile force in the longitudinal direction of the phosphor layers.

Each of the deflection devices has a horizontal deflection coil and a vertical deflection coil. The horizontal deflection coils of the deflection devices are connected to one another in series, and the vertical deflection coils of the deflection devices are connected to one another in series. All the deflection devices are driven by a common deflection driving circuit which has a horizontal deflection driving circuit connected to the horizontal deflection coils and a vertical deflection driving circuit connected to the vertical deflection coils.
