    摘要: A facsimile apparatus of analog type is disclosed, in which, in order to shorten the transmission time, continuous white lines of the white background of the original are read variably in number during each scanning line period. The information thus read is transmitted to the receiver in synchronism with the scanning line period. At the receiving end, the recording paper is rapidly fed for the scanning line period corresponding to the number of lines representing the received information.

    摘要: A tray used to place granular materials on a reading surface of an image reading device has provided thereto a transparent bottom plate, a background vertically upstanding relative to the bottom plate, and reflective elements arranged at predetermined intervals parallel to the background. In order to enable an imaging means of the image reading device to receive a side view image of the granular materials in the thickness direction thereof with the granular materials placed on the bottom plate of the tray, the tray is provided with a technical means for bending and guiding, by the reflective elements, light from the granular materials in the thickness direction thereof to the direction of the optical axis of the imaging means.

    摘要: A high-speed G3 facsimile communication system for shortening the time required for procedure control performed before transmission of image data is started, a quiescent time intervening between the connection of a receiver equipment to the transmission line and the starting of sending the control procedure signal CED is utilized for sending out a newly provided procedure shortening signal to the receiver equipment, and upon receiving a response of the receiver equipment indicating that the receiver is capable of communicating in an optional mode other than G3 mode, the sender station sends subsequently the requisite control procedure signal from the high-speed modem thereof.
