摘要： A color toner, comprises non-magnetic resin particles containing a coloring agent and two types of inorganic oxide particles, wherein;particles of coloring agent have an average particle diameter D of 300 m.mu..ltoreq.D.ltoreq.800 m.mu. as determined by measurement of scattered-light intensity; coloring agent particles with a particle diameter of from (D-120) m.mu. to (D+120) m.mu. account for not less than 90% of the whole; coloring agent particles with a particle diameter of 169 m.mu. or less account for not more than 1.0%; and coloring agent particles with a particle diameter of 949 m.mu. or more account for not more than 0.5%;said color toner has a volume average diameter of from 6 to 10 .mu.m; colored resin particles with a particle diameter of 5 .mu.m or less are contained in a proportion of from 15 to 40% by number; colored resin particles with a particle diameter of from 12.7 to 16.0 .mu.m are contained in an amount of from 0.1 to 5.0% by volume; colored resin particles with a particle diameter of 16 .mu.m or more are contained in an amount of not more than 1.0% by volume; and colored resin particles with a particle diameter of from 6.35 to 10.1 .mu.m have a particle size distribution that satisfies the following expression:9.ltoreq.V.times.dv/N.ltoreq.14 wherein V represent a volume percentage of colored resin particles with a diameter of from 6.35 to 10.1 .mu.m; N represents a number percentage of colored resin particles with a diameter of from 6.35 to 10.1 .mu.m; and dv represents a volume average particle diameter of the whole colored resin particles; andsaid inorganic oxide particles comprise a hydrophobic inorganic oxide (A) having an absolute value of not less than 50 .mu.c/g for the amount of triboelectricity and a specific surface area S.sub.A of from 80 to 300 m.sup.2 /g as measured by the BET method, contained in an amount of a% by weight based on the colored resin particles, and a hydrophilic inorganic oxide (B) having an absolute value of not more than 20 .mu.c/g for the amount of triboelectricity and a specific surface area S.sub.B of from 30 to 200 m.sup.2 /g as measured by the BET method, contained in an amount of b% by weight based on the colored resin particles, where S.sub.A .gtoreq.S.sub.B, a.gtoreq.b, and 0.3.ltoreq.a+b.ltoreq.1.5.

摘要： An image forming method that includes the steps of providing a developer comprising at least colored resin particles, a fluidity improver having a specific chargeability and magnetic particles wherein the colored resin particles have a volume-average particle size of 4-10 microns and a specific volume-basis particle size distribution; supplying the developer to a surface of a developer-carrying member disposed opposite to a latent image-bearing member having thereon an electrostatic latent image; carrying the developer on the surface of the developer-carrying member; and developing the electrostatic latent image on the latent image-bearing member with the developer in a developing zone where the latent image-bearing member is disposed opposite to the developer-carrying member to form a toner image; wherein an alternating electric field comprising an AC component and a DC component is imparted to the developing zone under specific conditions.

摘要： A laminate film suitable for providing a transparency for an OHP (overhead projector) is formed by disposing an absorbing layer on a substrate. The absorbing layer functions to allow addition of a wax component to a toner so as to improve the color mixing characteristic and anti-offset characteristic of the toner without causing a wax exudation trace which is liable to occur in a fixed toner image if the absorbing layer is not provided.

摘要： A toner for developing an electrostatic image has toner particles. The toner particles are prepared by suspension polymerization and contain at least two components comprised of a high softening point resin-A and a low softening point material-B. The toner particles each have a structure separated into a phase-A mainly composed of the resin-A and a phase-B mainly composed of the material-B. The phase-B is absent in the vicinity of the toner particle surface, ranging from its surface to a depth 0.15 time a toner particle diameter. The toner particles contain an organic solvent, a polymerizable monomer or a mixture thereof in a quantity of not more than 1,000 ppm.

The color toner particles are formed by suspension polymerization. The polyalkylene is characterized by having a crystallinity of 10-50% and a melting enthalpy (as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter) of at most 35 cal/g. The color toner is characterized by an improved fixability without causing offset especially at a relatively low temperature and suitable for providing a transparency film for an overhead projection.

摘要： A toner and a two-component developer for developing electrostatic images are disclosed. The toner comprises toner particles and the two-component developer comprises the toner and a carrier. The toner particle has a two-layer structure of a core layer and a surface layer, produced by suspension polymerization. The core layer and surface layer are mainly comprised of a resin having a low softening point and a resin having a high softening point, respectively. In the surface layer, a polyester resin having a specific acid value and a specific molecular weight is included to impart an appropriate water absorption to the toner. Due to the appropriate water absorption and superior fluidity, the toner can achieve a speedy rise of charge to give electrostatic charges in a stable quantity over a long period of time, and it can give a high image density and images with superior fine-line reproduction and highlight reproduction.
