Abstract: A chainsaw, a lubrication system for a chainsaw, and a lubricant for a chainsaw are provided. The chainsaw includes a lubrication system and guide bar extending from a housing. The lubrication system includes a reservoir at which a lubricant is contained. The reservoir is releasably attachable to a machine drive device. The machine drive device includes a body at which a pump apparatus is positioned. The machine drive device forms an inlet opening in fluid communication with the reservoir. The machine drive device forms an outlet opening at which a conduit is fluidly coupled to receive the lubricant. The conduit forms a conduit outlet through which the lubricant is provided to the guide bar.
