摘要： According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a continuous method of producing muconic acid from aldaric acid in the presence of a solid heterogeneous catalyst and an alcohol solvent with short reaction time. Another aspect of the present invention is the use of a non-expensive solid heterogenous catalyst, which is automatically separated from the product.
