摘要： A discharge tube for an ignition apparatus is composed of a tube-shaped casing made of electrical insulating material which is closed at both end parts with end members, the end members have openings which are smaller in diameter than the inner diameter of the casing, both the openings are sealed by metallic sealing members, respectively, and a thickness of the wall of the casing, an inner diameter and an outer diameter of the casing and a distance between both the end members are restricted within predetermined ranges.

摘要： A voltage regulator tube for an ignition system of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a cylindrical enclosure made of electrical insulating material and formed with a hollow extending therethrough; a first metallic sealing member for sealing one opening of the hollow, which is electrically connected to a secondary winding of an ignition coil; a first main electrode mounted on the first metallic sealing member in the hollow; a second metallic sealing member for sealing the other opening of the hollow, which is electrically connected to a spark plug; and a second main electrode which is mounted on the second metallic sealing member in the hollow such that the first and second main electrodes confront each other; wherein inert gas is hermetically filled in the hollow; wherein the following equation is satisfied:-1.5.ltoreq.0.8L-0.72R+3.11H-5.81.ltoreq.1.5where character L denotes a distance between distal ends of the first and second main electrodes in mm, character R denotes a diameter of the first metallic sealing member in mm and character H denotes a height of the first main electrode in mm.

摘要： A light irradiation device of the present invention includes: a light source that emits radiant light to an irradiation object; a reflecting member that reflects the radiant light emitted from the light source toward the irradiation object; and an irradiation member that includes at least two irradiation surfaces for transmitting the radiant light reflected from the reflecting member and irradiating the irradiation object with the radiant light. The light source emits the radiant light from one end side of the irradiation surfaces of the irradiation member, and the reflecting member includes: a first reflecting area that reflects the radiant light emitted from the light source toward a first irradiation surface of the irradiation member; a second reflecting area that reflects the radiant light emitted from the light source and indirectly reaches the second reflecting area, toward a second irradiation surface of the irradiation member; and a third reflecting area that guides the radiant light to the second reflecting area. Therefore, the light irradiation device and a light irradiation treatment and prevention device, which can irradiate a plurality of irradiation surfaces with the radiant light using one light source, can be configured.

摘要： A discharge lamp comprises a cylindrical glass bulb with an open bottom and a closed top of dome-shape or flat-shape, a base for holding an anode and a cathode with at least one separation plate for dividing an inner space of the bulb into plural spaces forming a folded discharge path, and the base is directly and airtightly bonded to the bottom opening of the bulb by heat softening of the bulb, and the anode and cathode are also airtightly fixed on the base by selectively melting down of a first adhesive and a second adhesive which each have different melting points.
