摘要： Articles of footwear that include a flexible or rigid sole portion with a shape and size as to correspond to a foot of a wearer, a sole portion having a periphery, a toe region in the front area of the sole portion, a heel region in the back area of the sole portion, and an instep region between the toe and heel regions. Also included is an upper portion connected to the sole portion to form a partially open enclosure for receiving and containing a part of the foot of the wearer and a flexible tubular sleeve which is attached to the sole portion's instep region. The flexible sleeve includes an attachment portion for attaching the flexible sleeve to the instep region of the sole portion, an outwardly opened toe portion for containing the front part of the foot and the toes of the wearer, an outwardly opened heel portion for containing the back part of the foot and the heel of the wearer, and an insertion portion for enveloping the ankle of the wearer.

摘要： A beach umbrella anchoring system including an anchor member container, in the form of a cylindrical beach umbrella carrying bag, for containing a weighting medium, such as sand or water, and a connector for connecting the container to a beach umbrella restraining device; and a beach umbrella restraining device comprising a flexible cable member, a releasable connector fixed to one end of the cable for releasably connecting the cable to a beach umbrella, a second releasable connector, fixed to the other end of the cable, for releasably connecting the cable member to the anchor member, and a third releasable connector, attached to the anchor member for releasably attaching to the ground. The anchoring system may be supplied in the form of a kit comprising the anchoring member (beach bag), umbrella and the restraining device. The provision of the container member in the form of a beach bag allows the system to be readily carried to the beach along with other paraphernalia. The apparatuses and systems serve to anchor beach umbrellas and canopies against being overturned and flailing about in sudden or unexpected gusts of wind.

摘要： An adaptable garment having a torso portion with a neck opening that is adapted to encircle the wearer's neck and a sleeve portion for encircling the wearer's arms, a hood with a top portion, a rear portion, and two opposing side portions with the top portion of the hood adapted to at least partially cover the top surface of the wearer's head, a rear portion attached to the top portion and to the neck opening of the torso portion of the garment, and the opposing side portions being attached to the rear portion and the top portion of the hood, and a channel portion positioned within the interior of the lower rear area of the hood and the two opposing side portions extending from a first forward facing aperture around the wearer's neck to a second forward facing aperture for accommodating one or more fashion accessories around the wearer's neck area. A portion of the wearer's one or more fashion accessories can be positioned within the channel portion, another portion or portions can be extended outward from at least one of the first and second forward facing apertures and another portion can be positioned within the one or more lower apertures positioned about the torso area. Another form includes at least one lower aperture positioned on the torso portion for accepting at least one end of the one or more fashion accessories.

摘要： Footwear having a shoe upper and a sandal type sole are made from an upper having a lower marginal edge with a plurality of spaced fingers extending from the lower marginal edge, a footbed having a peripheral edge and a plurality of spaced slots therethrough adjacent the peripheral edge and aligned respectively with the fingers, the fingers being extended through the slots and folded over onto the lower surface of the foot bed, an outsole secured to the lower surface of the footbed and the folded portions of the fingers and securing the fingers between the footbed and the outsole, and a structural arrangement for concealing from view the lower marginal edge and the fingers of the upper. A mid-sole is optionally provided between the footbed and the outsole. A method of making the footwear is described.
