    摘要: A voice enhancer system for a car includes a pair of microphones positioned adjacent to the front seats of the car, and a pair of loudspeakers positioned adjacent to the rear seats. The microphones are connected to the loudspeakers, via an amplifier/electrical conditioning unit, by electrical wiring positioned behind the car's upholstery. The conditioning unit, which includes filters and a frequency shifter is adjusted to prevent acoustical `howl-around` within the enclosure of the car. For voice enhancement from the rear to the front of the car, microphones may be positioned adjacent to the rear seats, and loudspeakers may be positioned adjacent to the front seats, these components being connected together, via a second amplifier/electrical conditioning unit, by electrical wiring.

    摘要: Methods and systems are described for controlling a flowrate of insulin infused into the body of a patient. An insulin infusion device infuses insulin into the body of the patient. A first sensor generates blood glucose level (BGL) data indicative of a blood glucose level of the patient. A second sensor generates autonomic nervous system (ANS) data such as heart rate data dependent on at least one parameter of the patient's autonomic nervous system. A data fusion processor receives the BGL data and the ANS data and generates an output alarm signal if a hypoglycaemic event is inferred. A flowrate of insulin of the insulin infusion device may be modified dependent on the output alarm signal.

    摘要: A rolling shutter includes a plurality of elongated shutter elements each having a plurality of alternate ribs and valleys formed on each side thereof is pivotally coupled by a plurality of link elements interleaved between the shutter elements. The shutter element and link array thus formed includes a repeated subset combination of coupling links and shutter elements which facilitate the pivotal motion of a shutter element pair about a common link to form a reinforcing portion of the shutter element array. A tractor drive mechanism includes a plurality of drive belts having engaging teeth for coupling to the alternate ribs and valleys of the shutter elements to provide positive drive force in either direction. A spring-biased take-up roll is supported in proximity to the tractor drive to receive the portion of the shutter element array withdrawn into the tractor drive.

    摘要: A method and system are described for detecting a hypoglycaemic state in a patient. The patient's heart rate is monitored to provide a heart-rate signal. A time-lagged signal is determined as the difference between the heart-rate signal and a time-lagged version of the heart rate-signal. The heart-rate signal is filtered with a low-pass filter to provide a heart-rate trend. An absolute difference between the heart-rate signal and the heart-rate trend is determined to provide an absolute-difference signal. A second time-lagged signal is determined as a difference between the absolute-difference signal and a time-lagged version of the absolute-difference signal. The occurrence of a hypoglycaemic condition is inferred dependent on the time-lagged signal and the second time-lagged signal.
