    摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing a display device including a louver that is capable of changing viewing angle. The method includes: a first step of forming a first electrode layer to drive the louver on a first main face of a first substrate; a second step of forming a resin layer on the first electrode layer; a third step of forming louver grooves to contain electrophoretic particles and dispersion medium in the resin layer; a fourth step of forming a sealing layer having a flat top face on the resin layer having the louver grooves in such a manner that the sealing layer closes the louver grooves; a fifth step of forming color filters on the sealing layer; and a sixth step of forming a second electrode layer to drive the louver on the sealing layer.

    摘要: A display includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, pixel driving electrodes for pixels, the pixel driving electrodes being provided on the first substrate and configured to provide control electric fields to the liquid crystal layer, louver elements, louver element driving electrodes provided on a face facing the first substrate of the second substrate, and an unseparated shield electrode between the louver element driving electrodes and the liquid crystal layer. Each of the louver elements are configured to stand on the second substrate, be sandwiched between one of the louver element driving electrodes and the shield electrode, and change amount of light to be transmitted in accordance with voltage applied across the louver element driving electrode and the shield electrode to change viewing angle.

    摘要: A substrate laminating apparatus, including a first vacuum chamber including a first opening; a first table provided inside the first opening for holding a first substrate; a second vacuum chamber including a second opening; a second table provided inside the second opening for holding a second substrate, wherein the substrates are laminated by reducing a pressure in a closed space formed by having the first opening faced with the second opening. The apparatus also includes a vacuum evacuation unit connected to the first vacuum chamber or the second vacuum chamber and performs reduced-pressure evacuation of the closed space. When there is a direction along which priority is given on lamination precision when laminating the first and second substrates, and the direction is defined as a lamination precision priority direction, a reduced-pressure evacuation direction done by the vacuum evacuation unit is a direction different from the lamination precision priority direction.
