摘要: A method and system for mobile communication, in which method a channel is allocated for a connection having a certain quality of service between a mobile station and a base station in a network whose time-slots are synchronized with each other. The system collects interference information (202 to 204) from connections already in use, information on the traffic load of the network (205), defines a level value (206) for information to be communicated, forms a parameter value (201) for the channel of the cell and allocates the channel (200, 201).

摘要: A method for use in a network covering a region, said region comprising a plurality of areas, a user being assigned to at least oen of said area and having associated therewith a plurality of candidate areas to which the user may be assigned, said method comprising the steps of receiving information identifying said plurality of candidate areas; estimating for each candidate area a parameter, said parameter assuming that said user is assigned to said candidate area; and prioritising said plurality of candidate areas which takes into account the estimated value of said parameter.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for synchronising clocks of base transceiver stations in a telecommunications system and a mobile communications system. According to the invention, in either some or in all base station sites of the telecommunications network a location measurement unit is installed, which receives an accurate clock including an extra-system signal. The clock information is transmitted further to base transceiver stations, whose frame transmissions are synchronised in accordance with the clock information. By using the implementation in accordance with the invention both economic and functional advantages are achieved, e.g. the capacity can be increased by up to 50-300%, depending on the manner of implementation.

摘要: The present invention relates to estimation of a network indicator of a communication path between a first station and a second station in a communication system. A first indicator of the communication path in a direction from the first station to the second station is determined at the second station. A second indicator of the communication path in a direction from the second station to the first station is determined at the first station. Said second indicator associates to a corresponding feature of the communication path than said first indicator. A third indicator of the communication path in the direction from the first station to the second station is determined at the second station. The network indicator of the communication path in the direction from the second station to the first station is then estimated based on the determined first, second and third indicators.
