    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a relay device, a communication terminal, a signal decoder, a method for processing a signal, and a program for processing a signal, which make it possible to achieve a multi-party communication system capable of preventing a significant deterioration of the quality of a sound obtained by decoding a speech/audio signal without increasing a cost for processing, as compared with the conventional communication terminals, the conventional communication techniques, and the like. The relay device comprises a receiver 11 for receiving information transmitted from a plurality of communication terminals participating in multi-party communications and encoded on a layer basis in a plurality of layers by scalable coding; a reconstruction processor 15 for generating control information used to combine, on a layer basis, the encoded information received by the receiver 11 from the plurality of communication terminals; and an integrator/transmitter 16 for integrating, on a layer basis, the encoded received by the receiver 11 from the plurality of communication terminals in accordance with the control information generated by the reconstruction processor 15.

With this spectral smoothing device, a sub band division unit (102) divides an input spectrum into multiple sub bands; a representative value calculation unit (103) calculates a representative value for each sub band using an arithmetic mean and a geometric mean; with respect to each representative value, a nonlinear conversion unit (104) performs a nonlinear conversion the characteristic of which is further emphasized as the value increases; and a smoothing unit (105) that smoothes the representative value which has undergone the nonlinear conversion for each sub band, at the frequency domain.

In the encoding device, a shape quantization unit (111) quantizes the shape of an input spectrum with a small number of pulse positions and polarities. The shape quantization unit (111) sets a pulse amplitude width to be searched later upon search of the pulse position to a value not greater than the pulse amplitude width which has been searched previously. A gain quantization unit (112) calculates a gain of a pulse searched by the shape quantization unit (111) for each of bands.

The encoding device includes a shape quantization unit (111) having: a section search unit (121) which searches for a pulse for each of bands into which a predetermined search section is divided; and a whole search unit (122) which performs search for a pulse over the entire search section. The shape of an input spectrum is quantized by a small number of pulse positions and polarities. A gain quantization unit (112) calculates a gain of the pulse searched by the shape quantization unit (111) and quantizes the gain for each of the bands.

    摘要: An audio/music decoding device capable of improving quality of a decoded signal generated by conceal processing of a frame erase using a scalable encoding method. The audio/music decoding device includes a frame loss detector that determines whether encoded information is normally received and generates frame loss information indicating the result of the determination. According to the frame loss information, a first decoder performs decoding by using at least one of the following encoded information: the first encoded information on the frame immediately before, the first encoded information on the current frame, and the second encoded information on the current frame. According to the frame loss information, a second decoder performs decoding by using at least one of the following encoded information: the first encoded information on the frame immediately before, the first encoded information on the current frame, the second encoded information on the frame immediately before, and the second encoded information on the current frame. An adder adds the decoded signal outputted from the first decoder and the decoded signal outputted from the second decoder.
