摘要： A recording medium playback device includes a recording medium accommodation unit, a carriage chassis having a pickup, a turntable and a pickup moving device, and a moving device. The moving device moves the carriage chassis from a standby position to a position between recording mediums accommodated in the recording medium accommodation unit to play back a recording medium. The recording medium loading device loads the recording medium inserted from outside into the recording medium accommodation unit. Also, when the carriage chassis is in the standby position, the pickup is situated on a vertical tangential plane tangent to an outer circumferential edge of the recording medium on the carriage chassis side at a point where the outer circumferential edge is intersected by a loading center line of the recording medium when the recording medium is completely loaded in the recording medium accommodation unit by the recording medium loading device.

摘要： A disc reproducing apparatus comprises a disc holder for receiving a plurality of discs, a disc transporting device for transporting a disc inserted from outside into the disc holder, and a disc reproducing device for reproducing a disc selected from the plurality of discs received in the disc holder. The disc holder includes a plurality of trays each for mounting one disc, guide devices allowing the trays to move only in trays arranging direction, a fixed bottom plate for supporting the plurality of trays, a movable top plate movable in the tray arranging direction by virtue of the guide devices. Further, the movable top plate is urged towards the fixed bottom plate by virtue of an urging device.

摘要： A recording medium playback device, by which the number of parts can be prevented from increasing and a size of the device can be prevented from being enlarged, is provided. A CD changer includes a disk receiving part, disk carrying part, positioning part, motor, and transmission restricting part 74. The disk receiving part has a plurality of holders each for holding a CD. A plurality of the holders are arranged being piled on one another and movable along the arranging direction. The disk carrying part carries the CD. The positioning part moves the disk receiving part along the arranging direction. The motor supplies drive force to both the disk carrying part and the positioning part. The transmission restricting part 74 restricts the drive force of the motor to be transmitted to the positioning part when the disk carrying part carries the CD.

摘要： In a disk reproducing apparatus a plurality of disks each carrying information recorded therein are inserted through an insertion opening and arrayed and held in a predetermined direction and a desired disk is selected for reproduction from the plurality of disks arrayed and held therein. The disk reproducing apparatus comprises a disk holding device including a plurality of trays arranged for holding thereon the plurality of disk respectively, a disk carrying device which carries the disk between the insertion opening and the tray, and a disk reproducing device which is carried to be positioned outside an area where a disk held by the disk reproducing device exists when the disk is not being reproduced and positioned that at least a portion is inside the area where the disk exists, when the disk is being reproduced. The disk carrying device and the disk reproducing device are juxtaposed in a direction in which disks are arrayed when the disk is not being reproduced. With this feature, minimization of the entire size of the apparatus and simplification of the construction are realized.

摘要： For providing a recording medium playback apparatus, which can prevent that clamping a recording medium in playback is unlocked, a CD changer includes a movable frame 66, a clamp unit 67, a pick-up unit 69, a lock unit 70 and a clamp lock/unlock unit 71. The movable frame 66 is movable against a main body. The clamp unit 67 is arranged on the movable frame 66 and clamps a CD 2. The pick-up unit 69 can move freely between a unclamp position to move close to the clamp unit 67 so as to unlock clamping of the clamp unit 67 and a playback position apart from the unclamp position more than the clamp unit 67. The lock unit 70 can move freely between a unlock position to make the movable frame 66 movable and a lock position to fix the movable frame 66. The clamp lock/unlock unit 71 in the unlock position limits the pick-up unit 69 to move close to the clamp unit 67 until the unclamp position.

摘要： A disk reproducing apparatus with a plurality of disks arrayed and held therein selects a desired disk for reproduction from the arrayed disks. The disk reproducing apparatus includes an insertion slot which defines an insertion executable position, a disk holding device including a plurality of disks inserted through the insertion slot by arraying the disks in a direction perpendicular to main surfaces of the disks, the disk holding device being movable in a direction of arrangement of the disks, a disk reproducing device having upper and lower surfaces opposing in the direction of arrangement of the disks, the disk reproducing device being movable in the direction of arrangement of the disks, and reproducing a disk to be reproduced at a reproduction executable position at which the upper surface faces the disk to be reproduced. When a disk is to be inserted, the disc reproducing device is placed at a position where the lower surface is positioned near to the insertion executable position in the direction of arrangement of the disks. When a disk is to be reproduced, the disk reproducing device is placed at a position where the distance of the upper surface from the insertion executable position in the direction of arrangement of the disks is smaller than its distance at the time of insertion of a disk. Thereby the reduction in size of the apparatus as a whole and a smooth execution of the reproduction operation are attained.
