    摘要: An evaporator/expansion valve unit for use in an automotive air conditioning system, comprises an evaporator which includes first and second parallely extending elongate tanks and a plurality of flat hollow elements mounted on the first and second elongate tanks. The interior of each element is in a fluid communication with the interior of each tank. The first tank is formed with inlet and outlet openings. A block type expansion valve has a first passage which is closed when a spherical valve body abuts against a given part of the first passage against a certain force applied thereto and a second passage which has a temperature sensing means by which the certain force is varied in accordance with the temperature of a refrigerant flowing in the second passage. The first passage has an outlet opening connected to the inlet opening of the first tank. The second passage has an inlet opening connected to the outlet opening of the first tank. The expansion valve has the first tank directly mounted thereon.

    摘要: A heater/cooler unit of an automotive air conditioning system for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The unit includes a casing defining an air flow passage for flow of air. The casing includes an enlarged lower portion and a reduced upper portion, and an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening communicating with the air flow passage. The unit also includes an evaporator in the air flow passage. The unit also includes a heater in the air flow passage with an air flow space being formed between the heater and the evaporator. The unit also includes a ventilation opening formed in the casing. The unit also includes a pair of heat openings formed in the casing, one on each side wall above the heater. The unit also includes a pair of heat ducts. The overall lateral size of the unit can be minimized.

    摘要: A defroster construction comprises a defroster nozzle main body having a connecting end for connection with a defroster side outlet of an air conditioning unit and elongated in a vehicle width direction. The defroster nozzle main body has substantially at a longitudinal center of the connecting end a first air inlet for supplying conditioned air to side ducts. The defroster nozzle main body further has at the connecting end a pair of second air inlets for supplying conditioned air to a pair of front defroster nozzles, independently. The second air inlets are located on opposite sides of the first inlet which are opposed in the longitudinal direction of the connecting end. An air flow guide is provided to the first air inlet so as to equally distribute a quantity of conditioned air to the respective side ducts.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a heater unit for the automobile air conditioner. The heater unit comprises a sensor group consisting of a plurality of sensors, mode selecting means for selecting one from at least two D/F modes above-mentioned, and control means for obtaining "target blowout tempeature (Tm)" based on input data from said sensor group and for selecting one out of said two D/F modes in which the rate of air through said foot outlet is greater, in the case where ambient air temperature taken by said sensor group is lower than the specified point corresponding thereto.
