摘要: To provide a lighting circuit of a projector that can be driven by both the commercial alternating-current power supply and a battery and is convenient for portable use. A lighting circuit for a high-pressure discharge lamp 14 includes: a DC/DC converter 1 that boosts a direct-current voltage and outputs the boosted direct-current voltage; an AC/DC converter 10 that rectifies an alternating-current voltage to output a direct-current voltage; an input switch circuit 2 and a power switch circuit 3 that switch between the DC/DC converter 1 and the AC/DC converter 10; a ballast circuit 11 that stabilizes the lighting of the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; a power control section 12 that controls the power supply from the ballast circuit 11 to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; a lighting initiation circuit 13 that starts lighting of the high-pressure discharge lamp 14; and the high-pressure discharge lamp 14, and the power switch circuit 3 performs power switching in such a manner that a relatively low power is supplied to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14 when a direct-current power supply is connected only to the DC/DC converter, and a relatively high power is supplied to the high-pressure discharge lamp 14 when the commercial alternating-current power supply is connected to the AC/DC converter 10.

摘要: The high-pressure discharge lamp includes: an arc tube; sealing portions which respectively have preseal glasses embedded therein, and at least one of which has an inert gas enclosing space which is arranged so as to be in contact with an outer surface of a corresponding the one preseal glass; a pair of feeders including a pair of electrodes, external lead rods, and metal foils, respectively; an external conductor which is arranged on an outer surface of the one sealing portion so as to be corresponded to the inert gas enclosed space, and connected to the external lead rod from the other sealing portion; and an internal conductor which is arranged in the inert gas enclosing space in the one sealing portion, and which has an electric potential identical to that of one feeder corresponding to the one sealing portion around which the external conductor is arranged.

摘要: The auxiliary light source includes a vacuum chamber, a pair of electrodes, and fluorescent material. The vacuum chamber has an internal space which is evacuated. The pair of electrodes is situated inside the vacuum chamber so as to face each other. The fluorescent material is arranged inside the vacuum chamber and emits light including ultraviolet rays by receiving electrons emitted when voltage is applied between the electrodes. An arc tube of a high-pressure discharge lamp is situated within an irradiation range of the light, and the light is emitted at least from a time just before the high-pressure discharge lamp is turned on until the high-pressure lamp emits light.
