Abstract: Provided are a square can manufacturing method and a square can manufacturing apparatus. The square can manufacturing method includes a shape correction step of correcting the shape of an intermediate molded product, and in the shape correction step, a distance in a short side direction between planned long side wall parts of the intermediate molded product is expanded by pushing the planned long side wall parts outward in the short side direction by a long side wall pressing part of a shape correction punch inserted in the intermediate molded product, and a planned bottom wall part of the intermediate molded product is planarized by sandwiching the planned bottom wall part between a bottom wall pressing part of the shape correction punch inserted in the intermediate molded product and a bottom wall pressing member disposed on an outer surface side of the planned bottom wall part.

Abstract: Provided is a manufacturing method for a rectangular can according to which it is possible to bring an angle formed by a step surface of a step provided in a rectangular can body and an inner wall surface of the rectangular can body closer to 90 degrees. In a step-forming step, using a die 310 that is provided on an outer wall surface side of a sidewall on which the step is to be formed, a mandrel 410 for sandwiching the sidewall between the mandrel 410 and the die 310 on the bottom side relative to a portion where the step is to be formed in the inner wall surface on which the step is to be formed, and a punch 420 for pressing the side opposite to the bottom side relative to the portion where the step is to be formed in the inner wall surface on which the step is to be formed and compressing the sidewall between the punch 420 and the die 310, the step is formed by performing multiple instances of a pressing operation performed by the punch 420.

Abstract: Provided are a method for manufacturing bottomed cans and an intermediate material for manufacturing bottomed cans capable of obtaining high quality bottomed cans with high accuracy in positioning and suppression of distortion and warpage while making a desired portion of a blank thinner, and reducing an amount of scrap to be discarded. A method for manufacturing multiple bottomed cans from a metal raw plate includes a coining step of coining at least part of an area to be blank that becomes a blank in the raw plate, after the coining step, a forming step of punching a blank from the raw plate and drawing the obtained blank into a bottomed can shape, and before the coining step, a buffering hole forming step of piercing a material flow buffering hole between the areas to be blank in the raw plate.

Abstract: A square can manufacturing method and a square can manufacturing apparatus that suppress the occurrence of nonuniformity in thickness of a long side wall without increasing the manufacturing cost are provided. The square can manufacturing method includes drawing and ironing at a planned cylindrical part of an intermediate molded product. In the square can manufacturing method, a die and a punch are formed such that in a state where the punch is inserted into a die machining through hole in an unloaded state, a distance in a short side direction between a center portion of a punch long side wall machining part in a long side direction and a die long side wall machining part is smaller than a distance in the short side direction between both end portions of the punch long side wall machining part in the long side direction and the die long side wall machining part.
