摘要： A power take-off unit positionable in the drive line of an automobile or truck such that the unit is used to drive auxiliary equipment by a chain drive or V-belt and pulley attached to the power take-off shaft. The power take-off shaft has a gear engageable with a drive gear on the drive shaft of the power train. The drive shaft is engageable with a coupling which may be disengaged so that the power take-off shaft is capable of being turned without transmitting power to the wheels of the vehicle.
