Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for controlling biological function by stimulation by light of a specific wavelength, such as violet light, which is irradiated at a specific blinking frequency, and an apparatus and method for improving light environment. An illustrative apparatus for controlling biological function includes at least one light source 10 which irradiates light of a specific wavelength, and a controller 20 which is configured to control irradiation conditions including a blinking frequency of the light source 10.
