摘要: A metal laminate gasket of the invention is installed in an internal combustion engine having a hole near an outer profile. The hole has a width along the outer profile, and the width of the hole is greater than a distance between the hole and the outer profile. The gasket is formed of a plurality of metal plates to constitute a metal laminate gasket. Each metal plate includes a side edge extending at least along the outer profile of the engine, a gasket hole having a size substantially equal to that of the hole of the engine, and an elongated portion located between the side edge and the gasket hole. The metal plates are immovably fixed together at the elongated portions to prevent the elongated portions from deforming outwardly of the engine.

摘要: A metal laminate gasket of the invention is installed in an internal combustion engine having at least one hole therein. The gasket comprises a first metal plate, and a second metal plate situated under the first metal plate. The first plate includes a first sealing device around a first hole to be sealed, and an inclined portion between the first sealing device and a base portion of the first plate. The upper surface of the base section is located in a level lower than the upper surface of the first sealing device. The second plate has a second hole larger than the first sealing device, and a second sealing device around the second hole. When the first and second plates are assembled, the second plate does not pile over the first sealing device. When the gasket is tightened, the second sealing device is at first compressed by tightening force and deforming force of the inclined portion to thereby equally tighten the second sealing device.

摘要: A steel laminate gasket of the invention is installed in an engine with an auxiliary combustion chamber. The gasket comprises a first plate having at least one first sealing area around a cylinder bore and at least one second sealing area adjacent the first sealing area, on which a mouth plate for defining the auxiliary combustion chamber is placed, and at least one second plate situated adjacent to the first plate. The first plate is provided with a plurality of curved beads disposed at a predetermined distance away from each other and situated inside and outside the second sealing area. The beads are formed so that a recovery amount of the bead when pressurized decreases gradually from an inner bead to an outer bead.

摘要: A steel laminate gasket comprises a first plate having at least one first hole, a second plate situated adjacent to the first plate, and at least one depression formed either on the first plate or the second plate and extending toward the other. The second plate is provided with at least one second hole and a bead extending around the second hole. The bead extends substantially perpendicularly to a horizontal plate of the second plate toward the first plate to abut against the first plate. Height of the depression is substantially the same as or slightly less than that of the bead so that when the first and second plates are connected together by a spot welding at the depression, the first and second plates are maintained substantially parallel to each other.

摘要: A metal gasket for providing a seal between a cylinder head and a cylinder block of an engine is a laminate of a first metal plate, a second metal plate, and a third metal plate. The first metal plate has a folded portion for positioning around a cylinder bore, the second metal plate has a first full bead inside the folded portion to provide a primary sealing portion, and the third metal plate has a second full bead provided around an outer circumference of the first full bead to provide a secondary sealing portion. The primary sealing portion has a primary sealing surface pressure, and the secondary sealing portion has a secondary sealing surface pressure less than the primary sealing surface pressure. The secondary sealing portion provides enhanced following capability during engine operation.

摘要: A steel laminate type cylinder head gasket is installed in an engine with an auxiliary combustion chamber. The gasket comprises a first plate and at least one second plate situated adjacent to the first plate. The first plate is provided with at least one curved first bead situated adjacent to and at a predetermined distance away from a curved outer line corresponding to a part of a contour of a mouth plate situated above the gasket, a second bead situated adjacent to and at a predetermined distance away from an inner line corresponding to a part of a contour of a cylinder bore, and a plurality of third beads disposed at a predetermined distance away from each other. The second bead intercrosses the first bead. The third beads are arranged so that the third beads are in order situated away from the inner line and intercept the first bead.

摘要: A cylinder head gasket is provided for dealing with gas leak between cylinder bores of an engine with a reduced size and rigidity. A cylinder head gasket is formed of a single metal plate provided with beads around cylinder bores. The bead has a portion formed in a wave shape only between adjacent cylinder bores. The wave shape portions may be arranged to enter with each other. The adjacent beads may be arranged such that the wave shape portions face each other. Alternatively, the adjacent beads may have a common wave shape portion.

摘要: A cylinder head gasket of a non-fold-over type is formed of a plurality of laminated metal plates, and has a cylinder bore to be sealed. Peripheral edges of the laminated metal plates constituting the gasket around the cylinder bore are continuously welded for sealing. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a cylinder head gasket of the non-fold-over type with high sealing ability and low cost applicable to an engine in which a combustion gas with high temperature and pressure is applied.

摘要: A metal laminate gasket is installed in an internal combustion engine having at least one hole therein. The gasket includes a first metal plate, a second metal plate situated over the first metal plate, and an auxiliary sealing member. The first plate includes a base portion, a curved portion to define a first hole, and a flange extending from the curved portion. The flange, the curved portion and a part of the base portion constitute a main sealing portion without substantial elasticity. The second plate has a large second hole and is situated above the base portion of the first plate. The sealing member is situated in a space between an edge of the second hole and the flange. The main sealing portion non-resiliently seals around the hole, while the sealing member resiliently seals outside the main sealing portion, so that even if the engine is made of light metal, the engine is not damaged by the gasket. The gasket can securely seal around the hole.

摘要: A metal cylinder head gasket of the invention is basically formed of a metal plate extending substantially throughout an entire area of an engine to be sealed, and a plurality of cylinder bores and bolt holes. The cylinder bores are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the metal plate, and the bolt holes are situated around the respective cylinder bores. At least one shim is located at at least one of four corner areas of the metal plate without extending outwardly from the corner area where the shim is located. The shim supports a tightening pressure of bolts to thereby prevent deformation of the cylinder head. Sealing means for the cylinder bores and other holes can be equally compressed to help sealing of the cylinder bores and other holes.
