    摘要: A magneto-optical recording medium comprises, on a substrate, a reflective layer, a first dielectric layer, a recording layer, and a second dielectric layer successively in this order, for being irradiated with a recording or reproducing light beam coming from a side of the second dielectric layer. A diamond-like carbon layer as a self-lubricating layer is formed on the second dielectric layer. An optical head comprises a floating type slider installed with a solid immersion lens. A protective film having a self-lubricating property may be also formed on a bottom surface of the slider opposing to the optical recording medium. Even when the floating position of the optical head is varied, and the optical head contacts with the surface of the optical recording medium, then the sliding scratch scarcely occurs, because the optical head smoothly glides on the recording medium surface. A lubricating layer may be further formed on the self-lubricating layer.

    摘要: A head shutter is mounted on casing of a magnetic disk cartridge to openably cover a head insertion opening, and a spindle shutter is mounted on the cartridge casing to openably cover a spindle insertion opening. A shutter operating member is mounted on the cartridge casing, and is operable from the outside of the cartridge casing. When the insertion openings are closed, the shutter operating member is engaged with the head shutter and the spindle shutter to hold them against their opening movements, and when the insertion openings are to be opened, the shutter operating member is disengaged from the spindle shutter, and also acts on the head shutter to open the head shutter. A shutter opening-closing mechanism is provided in a disk drive unit, and includes a first shutter opening member for operating the shutter operating member, and a second shutter opening member for moving the head shutter from its half-opened position to its fully-opened position.

    摘要: An arithmetic processing method and system in a wide velocity range flight velocity vector measurement system using a square truncated pyramid-shape five-hole Pitot probe. Approximation equations that determine attack angle &agr; and sideslip angle &bgr; in the form of third-order equations concerning attack angle pressure coefficient C&agr; and sideslip angle pressure coefficient C&bgr;, which are known numbers, are expressed in the form of a polynomial equation concerning Mach number M, where the coefficients are obtained from a lookup table. Coefficient calculations in the polynomial equation, and attack angle a and sideslip angle &bgr;, calculations may be performed as simple calculations by specifying and applying known numbers into the approximation equation without solving third-order equations, with calibration coefficients that form the basis of coefficient calculation with the polynomial equation first being stored in memory in advance as a table for each wide velocity range on the basis of wind tunnel testing. A Mach number may be calculated instantly from a lookup table by specifying Mach pressure coefficient CM and angle to airflow pressure coefficient C&ggr;. Wide velocity range flight velocity vector measurement with a high update rate which is capable of real time response in flight control as demanded by aircraft is obtained.
