Abstract: A lubricant for polyolefin carpet backing containing a copoly(oxyethylene-oxypropylene) glycol or monoether, a hindered phenol stabilizer, a coupling agent, a bulk wetting agent and, optionally, a corrosion inhibitor suitable for use in carpets having a polyolefin backing. The lubricant composition of this invention prevents degradation of the carpet backing while at the same time, affording good lubricity during the carpet manufacturing process.
