Abstract: Molecular sieves are treated with organic compounds containing oxygen (in the form of a hydroxyl group or an ether linkage) to inhibit the ability of the molecular sieve to catalyze the polymerization of polymerizable unsaturated hydrocarbons, such as isobutylene, isoprene, butadiene, vinyl-acetylene and the like.
