摘要: A seal configuration for an aircraft engine includes a ring shaped sealing component defining an axis, a carrier disposed radially outward of the ring shaped sealing component and supporting the ring shaped sealing component, and a housing disposed at least partially about the carrier. The housing is maintained in a static position relative to the carrier via a bellows spring. At least one of the carrier and the housing include a plurality of rotation inhibiting features disposed in a balanced configuration about the at least one of the carrier and the housing. Each of the rotation inhibiting features including a finger extending from the housing and at least one interface feature corresponding to each finger, and being disposed on the carrier. The at least one interface feature comprises one of a notch protruding radially into the carrier and a tab protruding radially outward from the carrier.

摘要: An annular seal plate for a shaft assembly in which the seal plate is disposed between and abuts a first adjacent element that rotates with the shaft and seal plate and a second adjacent element that does not rotate with the shaft. The annular seal plate includes an axial scoop defining an annular lubricant collection area disposed radially outwardly from an oil supply orifice that is in fluid communication with a source of pressurized lubricant supplied through the first adjacent element. Lubricant flows through the oil supply orifice and collects in the collection area. An oil passage places the collection area in fluid communication with a lateral surface facing and abutting the second adjacent element to provide lubricant to the interface between the annular seal plate and the second adjacent element.

摘要: A contacting seal for a gas turbine engine include a seal element rotationally fixed relative to an axis of rotation, and a seal seat configured to rotate circumferentially about an axis of rotation and contact the seal element at an interface surface of the seal seat. The seal seat includes an interface component including a seat wall including the interface surface and a seat cavity surface opposite the interface surface, such that a wall thickness of the interface component is defined therebetween. A cover component is secured to the interface component, the cover component including a cover cavity surface. The seat cavity surface and the cover cavity surface define a cooling cavity therebetween configured such that a flow of fluid therethrough cools the interface component via contact between the coolant and the seat cavity surface.

The first threaded portion is configured to engage with a second threaded portion on the end of the first shaft. The channel is configured to receive the end of the first shaft. The piloting hook is configured to draw the second extension radially outward as the spanner nut is compressed.
