摘要: A gas turbine engine includes a core housing that includes an inlet case and an intermediate case that respectively provide an inlet case flow path and an intermediate case flow path. A first shaft supports a low pressure compressor section that is arranged axially between the inlet case flow path and the intermediate case flow path. A first bearing supports the first shaft relative to the inlet case. A second bearing supports a second shaft relative to the intermediate case. A low pressure compressor hub is mounted to the first shaft. The low pressure compressor hub extends to the low pressure compressor section between the first bearing and the second bearing.

摘要: A rotating structure provides a first annular array of first radial scoops and a second annular array of second radial scoops arranged axially with respect to the first annular array of first radial scoops. A first component is arranged in an axially forward direction relative to the first annular array of first radial scoops. A second component is arranged in an axially aft direction relative to the second annular array of second radial scoops. A lubrication system includes at least one nozzle aimed at the first and second annular arrays of first and second radial scoops. A first lubrication delivery path fluidly connects the first annular array of first radial scoops to the first component along the axially forward direction. A second lubrication delivery path fluidly connects the second annular array of second radial scoops to the second component along the axially aft direction.

摘要: A gas turbine engine includes a rotating shaft. An oil scoop rotates with the rotating shaft. The oil scoop has end walls spaced axially along an axis of rotation of the rotating shaft and an axially central recess. A duct is spaced radially outwardly of the oil scoop. The duct has an oil inlet, with an oil supply nozzle to supply oil into the oil inlet in the duct. The oil inlet is then connected to supply oil into the recess. The oil scoop has an inner hole to allow oil to flow from the recess to an outer periphery of the shaft.

The at least one second bearing includes a damper. Also included is at least one third bearing that is mounted between the shaft and the static engine structure, wherein the at least one third bearing includes a resilient member.

摘要: A fluid damping structure is provided that includes a damper ring. The damper ring includes an annular body a plurality of fluid check valves, and at least one fluid stop. The annular body extends circumferentially around an axial centerline, and is defined by a first end surface, a second end surface, an outer radial surface, and an inner radial surface. The outer radial surface and the inner radial surface extend axially from the first end surface toward the second end surface. The body includes one or more check valve passages. Each check valve passage extends axially from an open end disposed at the first end surface inwardly toward the second end surface, and is disposed between the inner radial surface and the outer radial surface. An inlet aperture extends between each check valve passage and the outer radial surface, and an outlet aperture extends between each check valve passage and the inner radial surface. Each fluid check valve is disposed in a check valve passage. The at least one fluid stop is configured to prevent fluid exit from the open end of each check valve passage.

摘要: An oil supply assembly for a bearing damper of a gas turbine engine includes an oil supply tube configured to supply oil in a first direction. The assembly also includes a bearing support having a bearing damper path connecting the bearing damper to the oil supply tube and a bearing compartment path connecting a bearing compartment to the oil supply tube. The assembly also includes a check valve disposed within the bearing damper path and configured to allow fluid communication in the first direction from the oil supply tube to the bearing damper and block fluid communication in a second direction opposite the first direction.
