A malleable metallic seal ring is disposed between these members, including an axial undulation providing an inner annular crest and an outer annular crest. An axial force imposed on the ring shortens its length, deforming the inner crest into sealing engagement with the inner member and the outer crest into sealing engagement with the outer member.
