Abstract: A temporary stop device for tape recorder temporarily or transiently stopping the running of a tape by parting a pinch roller from a rotating capstan which is contacted with the pinch roller by compression and thereafter instantly running the tape by contacting the pinch roller with the capstan. Contacting and parting operations of the pinch roller with and from the capstan are made by a cam means. A cam operation switch and a tape running indication part are housed in a remote control part at some distance apart from the tape recorder body.

Abstract: A tape cartridge rejection apparatus having a tape cartridge formed with a recess in a side thereof, a leaf spring having thereon a guide member adapted to be urged into the recess to hold in the same position, the urging force exerted to the cartridge by the leaf spring being designed to be released at any desired time, a pushing-out rod for rejecting the cartridge by pushing a forward end thereof so that a rear end of the cartridge is moved beyond a tape recorder body to some extent for thereby disengaging a pinch roller within the cartridge from its pressing contact with a capstan of the recorder whereby the pinch roller is prevented from being deformed. The rejection apparatus is operable either at the termination of a reproducing operation of each of the channels or at any desired time during the reproducing operation thereof.

Abstract: An operation changing apparatus for a tape recorder using multitrack endless tape comprising a circuit for stopping the run of an endless magnetic tape by opening automatically an electric power circuit of a motor for driving said magnetic tape, a circuit for changing and performing each channel of the magnetic tape in order by shifting a magnetic head, and a circuit for driving said motor successively by opening said automatic stopping circuit and said automatic channel changing circuit, wherein any operating state of the tape recorder can be obtained by changing selectively and suitably each said circuit.
