Abstract:
Tube bending apparatus comprising a lower support carrying a mandrel having a bending groove providing a bend axis, and an upper support mounted on the lower support for rotation about the bend axis and carrying a forming member for urging a tube between the mandrel and forming member into the bending groove on rotation of the upper support relative to the lower support. The upper support is adapted to be rotated relative to the lower support through a drive shaft arrangement extending downwardly from the lower support and coupled with a drive unit having an output coupling coaxial with the drive shaft and transverse to the axis of the drive motor of the drive unit. A stand supports the bending apparatus and drive unit relative to an underlying support surface during operation of the bending apparatus. The lower support is provided with angularly spaced apart abutment surfaces corresponding to different bend angles for a tube to be bent, and the upper support member is provided with a stop member which is selectively adjustable to engage any one of the abutment surfaces to provide the corresponding bend angle as well as a selectable degree of overbend of the tube relative to the bend angle.

Abstract:
A cutting tool is described that enables quick and simple blade replacement. The cutting tool utilizes a pair of handles configured in a scissor-like arrangement. A cutting blade is releasably engaged with one of the handles. A spring or other biasing member urges the handles apart from one another.
Abstract:
A pivoting jaw pipe wrench comprises a fixed jaw including a plurality of discrete teeth, each for a different one of a plurality of pipes having different diameters. A pivotal jaw member has first and second jaw faces at an obtuse angle to one another and displaceable toward and away from the fixed jaw, whereby a pipe of given diameter to be gripped by the wrench is cradled between the first and second jaw surfaces and engaged by the one of the discrete teeth provided on the arcuate jaw for the pipe of given diameter.

Abstract:
Apparatus for roll grooving thin wall pipe comprises a housing supporting a female drive roll and an arm pivotally mounted on the housing and supporting a male idler roll. A feed screw between the housing and arm provides for pivoting the arm to displace the idler roll radially toward and away from the drive roll, and a quick release arrangement between the feed screw and housing is operable to release the arm to displace the idler roll away from the drive roll at the end of a roll grooving operation without rotating the feed screw. Self-tracking during a roll grooving operation is provided by teeth on an outer surface of the drive roll which urge the pipe and grooving rolls axially inwardly relative to one another.
