    Abstract: A device may receive a request to establish a communication session with a network. The request includes first bearer information regarding a bearer and first network slice information regarding a network slice of the network. The device may generate a first priority value, associated with the request, based on the first bearer information and the first network slice information. The device may obtain second bearer information regarding active bearers associated with existing communication sessions and second network slice information regarding one or more network slices, of the network, associated with the active bearers. The device may generate second priority values associated with the active bearers based on the second bearer information and the second network slice information. The device may compare the first priority value and the second priority values. The device may preempt one or more of the active bearers based on the comparison.

    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for providing a differentiated neighbor list that can be individually generated for a specific service (e.g., per service) based on network service information, which can include, but is not limited to, a user equipment (UE) group identifier (ID), network slicing and/or quality of service (QoS) flow, and the like. Neighbors within the differentiated list can be characterized based on, but not limited to, service types, distance to devices, transport costs, service locations, and the like, or some combination thereof. The disclosed framework can generate and dynamically update a differentiated neighbor list for specific types of services so that optimal neighbor selection is performed for the type of service a UE is operating within to ensure that a network connection is maintained at a threshold satisfying QoS.

    Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) mobility management element can receive a satellite-based measurement of a geolocation of an airborne mobile device. The RAN mobility management element can determine, based on the satellite-based measurement, a distance between the geolocation of the airborne mobile device and a geolocation of a serving cell that is serving the airborne mobile device, and a respective distance between the geolocation of the airborne mobile device and a respective geolocation of each cell of a plurality of cells. The RAN mobility management element can determine whether to hand over the airborne mobile device to a cell, included in the plurality of cells, based on the distance between the geolocation of the airborne mobile device and the geolocation of the serving cell, and a distance between the geolocation of the airborne mobile device and a geolocation of the cell included in the plurality of cells.
