Abstract: The elongated filament of a lumiline- or showcase-type incandescent lamp is initially wound as a coiled coil filament and attached to the lead wires of the mount assembly. When a getter is used, the getter is applied to the primary turns of the coiled coil filament before it is stretched and remains on the primary turns of the resulting singly coiled filament that is attached to the mount assembly.
