Abstract:
A laundry treating appliance and a method operating a laundry treating appliance having a dye sensor configured to output a signal indicative of the amount of dye within liquid in the treating chamber, a controller having a memory in which is stored a set of executable instructions including at least one user-selectable cycle of operation, and a user interface operably coupled with the controller and providing an input and output function for the controller and provide information related to a dye release.
Abstract:
A washing machine comprises a drum and a heat pump system for heating water to be fed to the drum in a washing program. The heat pump system has an evaporator in heat exchange relationship with a room air flow and a condenser in heat exchange relationship with water to be heated, an air deflector being configured to divert said room air flow downstream the evaporator away from the condenser in a water heating configuration and to convey said air towards the condenser in a room air dehumidifying configuration of the washing machine.
Abstract:
A method for washing laundry in a washing machine, preferably a horizontal axis washing machine, having a drum rotatably mounted in a tub, a recirculation pump for recirculating a washing liquid on the laundry and a heating device in the tub for heating washing liquid, comprises increasing the drum speed up to a predetermined low spin speed while recirculation pump is switched off in order to increase water level in the tub and then switching on the heating device.
Abstract:
A washing machine comprises a tub in which a drum is rotatably mounted, and a storage tank having a flow connection to the tub via a feeding line provided with a pump and a three-port valve adapted to drive the flow to the drain or to the storage tank, rinsing fluid being stored in the storage tank for subsequent reuse. The washing machine further comprises a return pipe connecting the storage tank to the tub by means of a two-port valve, on such return line an auxiliary pump being placed and being used either for emptying the storage tank or for carrying out a spray washing.

Abstract:
A method for washing coloured clothes in a domestic washing machine comprises a preliminary phase in which water and an additive containing a colour protector compound are added to the tub, a tumbling phase in order to allow wetting of clothes and a spinning phase for removing at least a portion of water and additive from clothes before starting a washing program, the temperature of water and additive being preferably comprised between 5° C. and 30° C.
Abstract:
A combination washer/dryer having a cabinet defining an interior, a tub provided within the interior, and a drum rotatably provided within the tub and defining a treating chamber, an induction coil carried by the tub and generating a magnetic field encompassing at least a portion of the container, and a cooling element providing on at least one of the tub or closure to form a cooled surface in fluid communication with the treating chamber.
