Abstract: A communication system includes a server apparatus, and a terminal apparatus connected to the server apparatus and capable of communicating with the server apparatus. The terminal apparatus is configured to transmit, to the server apparatus, response information, which is responsive to provided information and which is generated according to a position indication input performed by a user of the terminal apparatus. The terminal apparatus includes a position detection sensor that detects the position indication input, a determination unit that distinguishingly determines the position indication input in a response information area corresponding to an input field for the response information and the position indication input in an area outside the response information area, in a position detection area of the position detection sensor, and a transmission control unit that transmits, to the server apparatus, the position indication input in the response information area.

Abstract: Provided is an electronic pen core body including a tip component portion coupled to an axis component portion. At least one end of the axis component portion in an axial direction is made of a material that is harder than a material from which the tip component portion is made. The tip component portion includes a tip portion protruding from the one end of the axis component portion in the axial direction, a coupling core portion disposed within the recessed hole and coupled to an inner wall surface of the recessed hole of the axis component portion, and a second ring-shaped end surface that contacts a first ring-shaped end surface of the axis component portion. The first ring-shaped end surface is covered by the second ring-shaped end surface.

Abstract: A method is provided for adjusting the resonance frequency of a resonance circuit included in an electronic pen. The method uses adjusting means for adjusting the capacitance of an internal capacitor array and measuring means for measuring an alternating magnetic field generated by the resonance circuit. The method includes (1) a step of changing the state of a predetermined portion of multiple capacitive elements constituting the internal capacitor array, and (2) a step of changing, according to reference resonance frequency variations of the resonance circuit before and after the state change, the state of a portion or all of at least one capacitive element constituting the inner capacitor array other than said predetermined portion of the capacitive elements.

Abstract: A knock-type electronic pen including a tubular casing, a first position indicator such as a written input indicator, a second position indicator such as an eraser, a knock cam mechanism, and a holding mechanism. The knock cam mechanism includes a knock portion including a part protruding outward from an opening at a second end of the tubular casing, and is configured to cause a tip of the first position indicator to protrude from, or be housed within, an opening at a first end of the tubular casing. The holding mechanism, in the state in which the tip of the first position indicator protrudes from the opening at the first end, returns the knock portion pushed into the tubular casing to a state of protruding from the opening at the second end such that at least a tip of the second position indicator protrudes outward.
