Abstract:
An adjustable torque hinge includes a set hinge, a torque providing unit and a torque adjusting unit. The set hinge unit couples a first and second wing plate with a pivot pin. The first and second wing plates forms a pin joint with a first sleeve and second sleeve. The torque providing unit includes a torque spring to provide turn back recovery. A torque adjusting unit has a torque adjustment member. The first sleeve includes a first cam, and the torque adjustment member includes a second cam which couples with the first cam to drive the torque adjustment member to the torque spring. Conversion between the first and second sleeves enables the bearing hinge to be used in both directions, accumulating force both in normal and reverse directions to adjust the torque force for opening and closing operations.
Abstract:
A shackle lock includes a lock casing, a lock core received in the lock casing, and a shackle unit which has first and second shackle connecting members extendible into first and second shackle holes in the lock casing and a flexible shackle portion connected to the shackle connecting members at two opposite ends. The first shackle connecting member engages the lock core when the lock core is operated to be in a locking state, and is disengaged from the lock core when the lock core is operated to be in an unlocking state, thereby permitting removal thereof from the lock casing. The second shackle connecting member is provided with a spring-loaded retaining member for engaging the lock casing. The retaining member is accessible with the use of a tool inserted into the first shackle hole after removal of the first shackle connecting member, and is adapted to be actuated by the tool for disengaging from the lock casing in order to permit removal of the second shackle connecting member from the lock casing.
Abstract:
A position-recoverable pulling device is adaptable for attachment to a lock bolt of a fitting for coupling two tubular members, and includes an anchoring member with a cam surface, and a coiled pulling member including a plurality of loops which are biased to abut against each other. The coiled pulling member is hooked on the anchoring member, while an outer segment thereof is disposed outboard to the cam surface. A bent portion of the outer segment is slidably contacted by a normal spot of the cam surface and is bent away from the adjacent loop to relieve the biasing action of the loops. Once the coiled pulling member has been swung to move the bent portion from the normal spot to reach a swung spot, the bent portion will be brought to slide back to the normal spot, thereby moving the coiled pulling member back to a normal position.
Abstract:
A padlock includes a lock base formed with first and second shackle insert holes, a lock receiving space which is disposed between the first and second shackle insert holes and which has an upper section communicated with the second shackle insert hole, and a ball chamber which extends transversely between the first shackle insert hole and the upper section of the lock receiving space. A lock device is received in the lock receiving space, and has an axially rotatable key-operated lock core which is provided with a plunger formed with a latch projection. A locking unit includes at least one ball member rollingly disposed in the ball chamber adjacent to the plunger. A shackle has longer and shorter leg portions to be received in the first and second shackle insert holes, respectively. The shorter leg portion is formed with a plunger engaging groove for engaging the latch projection of the plunger. The longer leg portion is formed with a ball retaining groove for engaging the locking unit. A biasing spring is disposed in the first shackle insert hole for biasing the longer leg portion upwardly.
Abstract:
A hinge device includes a hinge and a clamping unit. The hinge includes a first leaf mounted on a first object, and a second leaf pivotably connected to the first leaf. The clamping unit includes bracing and pressure plates spaced apart from each other by a clamping space for accommodating a second object. The bracing plate is removably attached to the second leaf such that the second leaf can be shifted in two mounting positions, one where the bracing plate is removed from the second leaf and the second leaf is connected to the second object, and one where the bracing plate is attached to the second leaf and the second object is clamped by the bracing and pressure plates.
Abstract:
An easily unlatchable cam-lock actuating device for use in a locking coupling assembly that couples two tubular members, includes a cam arm pivotally mounted on a female tubular coupler and extending thereinto for locking a male tubular end of one of the tubular members, a spring-loaded latch bolt movably mounted in the cam arm to engage a cavity of the coupler so as to lock the cam arm at a locking position, and a releasing lever pivotally mounted on the cam arm and coupled to the latch bolt such that, when the releasing lever is turned from a latched position to an unlatched position, the latch bolt is retracted and disengaged from the cavity.
Abstract:
A lock assembly includes two mounting seats for mounting respectively on two objects. Each mounting seat has a shackle engaging lobe. A slide seat is slidable between the mounting seats for selectively engaging the mounting seats. A cover member is pivoted to the slide seat for pivoting between closed and open positions, and has another shackle engaging lobe. The lobe on the cover member is disposed between the lobes of the mounting seats to permit extension of a padlock shackle through the three lobes when the cover member is in the closed position while the slide seat engages the two mounting seats. The cover member is turned away from the lobes of the mounting seats to permit sliding movement of the slide seat between the mounting seats when the cover member is moved to the open position after removal of the shackle from the lobes.
Abstract:
A protective sleeve for a padlock includes a sleeve body having an open inserting end adapted for insertion of a lock body of the padlock into the sleeve body, a restricting end opposite to the inserting end and adapted for abutting against the lock body, and a surrounding wall extending between the inserting end and the restricting end and adapted to wrap fittingly around the lock body. The sleeve body is formed with a key opening adapted to be aligned with a keyhole of the lock body. A cover flap is hinged to the sleeve body at the key opening, and is movable pivotally between an open position adapted for permitting access to the keyhole, and a closed position adapted for closing the keyhole. The cover flap is formed with a plug adapted to be inserted into the keyhole when the cover flap is moved to the closed position.
Abstract:
A fitting is adapted to connect two hoses and includes first and second tubular members which include interconnecting end portions that enable the tubular members to be rotated relative to each other. The first tubular member includes a receiving end portion which receives an insert end portion of the second tubular member. An arrangement of flanges on the respective end portions of the tubular members defines cooperating grooves which receive a C-shaped retaining ring. When two hoses connected by the fitting are twisted relative to each other, the twisted hoses can be straightened by relative rotation of the first and second tubular members, thereby permitting smooth flow of fluid through the fitting.
