    摘要： This invention relates to a photographic element comprising a support having situated thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, the element further containing an image modifying coupler which upon reaction with oxidized color developing agent during processing forms a dye, said image modifying coupler represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein COUP is a photographic coupler moiety;T.sup.1 is a timing or linking group;R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from a halide atom, or an aliphatic, carbocyclic, heterocyclic, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, carbonamido, sulfonamido, acyl, sulfo, nitro, cyano, amino, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, aryloxy, aryloxyalkyl, thioalkoxy, thioalkoxyalkyl, thioaryloxy, or thioaryloxyalkyl group; andn is selected from 0, 1 or 2. More particularly this invention relates to a photographic element containing the above image modifying coupler wherein n is 0 and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently represented by the formula:**--(Z).sub.m -(X).sub.t -R.sup.3** point of attachment to triazole moietywherein;Z is an aliphatic, carbocyclic, or heterocyclic group.

    摘要： A photographic silver halide material and process comprises at least one image dye-forming coupler and at least one coupler (A) represented by the formula SOL-COUP-LINK-PUG wherein SOL is a water solubilizing amide group, COUP is a naphtholic coupler moiety that, upon reaction with oxidized developer is capable of releasing LINK-PUG and capable of forming a compound that is washed out of the photographic material during photographic processing; LINK-PUG is in turn capable of releasing a photographically useful group (PUG) during photographic processing; and wherein LINK is a carbamate linking group comprising a photographic ballast group on the nitrogen atom of the carbamate group. Such a photographic silver halide material enables formation of improved images.

    摘要： Disclosed is a photographic element comprising a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a cyan “NB coupler” having the formula (I): wherein: the term “NB coupler” represents a coupler of formula (I) that forms a dye for which the left bandwidth (LBW) using spin-coating is at least 5nm less than that of the same dye in solution form; Y is H or a coupling-off group; each Z″ and Z* is an independently selected substituent group where n is 0 to 4 and p is 0 to 2; W2 represents the atoms necessary to complete a heterocyclic ring group; and V is a sulfone or sulfoxide containing group; provided that the combined sum of the aliphatic carbon atoms in V, all Z″ and all Z* is at least 8. The element exhibits improved cyan dye hue.
