摘要： This invention relates to the preparation of dodecahydrododecaborate (2-) anions and particularly to the preparation of alkali metal dodecahydrododecaborates such as Na.sub.2 B.sub.12 H.sub.12. The process of the invention involves the reaction of an alkali metal borohydride with dimethylsulfideborane, at a temperature and for a time sufficient, to yield the alkali metal dodecahydrododecaborate. The reaction may be conducted at atmospheric pressure.
