摘要： An apparatus for processing handwriting input includes a touch display unit, a touch display control unit, a storage unit, a calculating unit, and a processing unit. The touch display control unit determines a character in response to a character operation by an input device, and a height and a width of an imaginary rectangle sized to fittingly encircle the character. The calculating unit enlarges the height of the imaginary rectangle by adding a given value to the height of the imaginary rectangle if the height of the imaginary rectangle is smaller than a predetermined value. The processing unit resizes the character displayed within the enlarged imaginary rectangle by a first scaling factor. The touch display control unit controls the touch display unit to display the resized character in one of rows of a character display portion provided by the touch display unit. A related method is also described.

摘要： An apparatus capable of switching displayed pictures in response to a slide gesture by a user includes a display screen for displaying a zoomed in current picture, a touch determining unit, a picture processing unit, a control unit, a time calculating unit, and a calculating unit. The picture processing unit determines a width value of the current picture and a distance between a side of the current picture and an edge of the display screen adjacent to the side. The control unit controls the display screen to only display the target picture if a ratio of the distance to the width is equal to or greater than a predetermined ratio, and controls the display screen to only redisplay the current picture if a time duration of a slide gesture from beginning to ending is smaller than a predetermined time period. A related method is also provided.

摘要： A page processing method for an electronic device with a touch screen is provided. The method includes the following steps: displaying a page of content on the touch screen, the displayed page consisting of a number of regions comprising a center region and a plurality of peripheral regions surrounding the center region; detecting a touch operation on the displayed page and generating a signal associated therewith; determining the touched region where the touch operation occurs; determining whether the touch operation is a mode switching operation according to the signal; and controlling the electronic device to switch between a browsing mode and a zooming mode according to the signal and the location of the touched region on the displayed page, if the touch operation is a mode switching operation. An electronic device using the page processing method is also provided.

The apparatus can include an optical system for providing interference between two coherent spherical wavefronts impinging on a thin-film photosensitive material formed on a surface of a sample, wherein a plane of the surface normal of the sample is arranged at an angle with respect to a plane defined by center propagation vectors of the two coherent spherical wavefronts; and one or more actuating elements operable to actuate one or more optical elements in the optical system, the sample, or both the one or more optical elements and the sample in one or more degrees of freedom to control a relative magnitude of a longitudinal and a transverse chirp of the interference pattern.
