Abstract: A method for controlling a device by a terminal device and the terminal device thereof are provided. The method includes: identifying an identity image of a controlled device; obtaining a control interface of the controlled device according to the identity image; receiving a control operation instruction triggered by a user through the control interface; and sending the control operation instruction to the controlled device by establishing communication connection with the controlled device. The user may identify respective controlled devices and obtain corresponding control interfaces of the controlled devices conveniently in a manner of identifying identity images of respective controlled devices by the same user terminal, and thus realize convenient control over the controlled devices through the control interfaces, so as to improve the convenience and accuracy of controlling the respective controlled devices.
